High-Stakes Event Production in Coral Gables

(October 14, 2023 – Private Residence, Coral Gables, FL)

This private event required large-scale technical integration inside a residence with strict architectural and logistical constraints. Access was limited and staging had to be coordinated across multiple days. The scope included rigging, staging, lighting, distributed audio, LED video walls, scenic builds, and special effects.

  • Pre-Event Planning: CAD drawings defined rigging points, staging layouts, and power distribution. On-site evaluations confirmed capacities and routing. Contingency plans prepared for weather and access risks.

  • Rigging & Truss: Two round trusses (30’ and 20’) supported by more than 100 linear sections, stabilized with 36 corner blocks, 32 bases, and over 1,000 bolts. Hoisting executed with manual and electric motors.

  • Staging & Dance Floor: 18 staging decks finished in white sheeting and vinyl. Custom 110-piece dance floor in white and walnut. Leveling completed to specification.

  • Lighting: Over 300 fixtures including washes, beams, pin spots, uplights, and LED bars. Special effects (lasers, CO₂ jets, cold sparks, haze, confetti).
  • Audio & Video Systems: Distributed arrays with subs and monitors. More than 150 LED panels for video walls with redundant signal paths. Robotic camera for live capture.

  • Power Distribution: Three generators provided primary and redundant feeds. More than 20 cable ramps secured pathways. Load testing confirmed stability.

  • Fabric & Scenic: Printed walls, draped panels, and full-color vinyl. Structural elements concealed with truss and base covers.

Scenic walls, vinyl, and fabric were installed with precision. Lighting, video, and effects highlighted décor and architecture without obstruction.

  • Setup completed two hours ahead of schedule.
  • Redundant systems eliminated single-point failures.
  • Installations certified with third-party verification.
  • All systems tested and signed off prior to program start.

PSID operated under one technical lead to streamline communication. Parallel deployment across all disciplines ensured control throughout the build.

The program was executed without incident. Systems performed within specification. The client commended PSID for reliability, discretion, and technical precision.
