High-Stakes Event Production at Mana Wynwood

(November 16, 2024 – Mana Wynwood, Miami, FL)

The production required large-scale technical integration inside Mana Wynwood. The venue presented strict scheduling limitations, with only five days for setup and strike required immediately after event completion. The design by House of Kirschner demanded advanced rigging, staging, lighting, audio, video, and special effects. The volume of equipment exceeded standard venue capacities, requiring precise CAD planning, phased load-in, and disciplined coordination across all technical disciplines.

  • Rigging & Truss: CAD layouts defined rigging points and structural loads. Installed eight round trusses and more than 50 linear sections. Operated 60 motors with dedicated controllers. Load balancing verified through calculations and field checks.

  • Staging & Scenic Support: Pipe-and-base systems supported scenic elements. Concealed truss and steel with covers. Sandbags and safety cabling secured all structures.

  • Lighting: Over 700 fixtures (uplights, washes, beams, spots, pin spots, and lekos). Custom gobos projected branded visuals. Multiple tech tables ensured clear operator positions.

  • Audio Systems: Dual line-array systems with subs and distributed support. Digital consoles with stage boxes for routing. Wireless systems and in-ear monitoring integrated.
  • Video & AV Systems: 192 LED panels configured into custom walls. Controlled through processors and supported by structured cabling (SDI, HDMI, Cat5). Linear LED bumper aligned with scenic design. Redundancy ensured continuous playback.

  • Special Effects: Haze systems and atmospheric effects synchronized with lighting and audio cues.

  • Power Distribution: Four large and two small distros powered all systems. Over 20 cable ramps secured pathways. Separate distribution dedicated to rigging motors.

Technical execution was aligned with House of Kirschner’s creative vision. Scenic walls, vinyl applications, and fabric panels were installed with precision. Lighting and video were calibrated to highlight architectural and scenic features without obstruction.

  • Setup completed within the five-day window, ahead of schedule.
  • Redundancy applied across audio, video, and power systems.
  • All rigging and staging installed to certified industry standards.
  • Systems tested, documented, and signed off before handover.

PSID worked under a single technical lead, streamlining communication with House of Kirschner and the client team. Daily coordination meetings maintained alignment and controlled scope.

The event was executed without incident. Systems performed reliably under live conditions. Both House of Kirschner and the client team commended PSID for precision, reliability, and discreet execution.
